ClawdBar is a free, native macOS menu bar app for Claude Code users. It reads your local usage data and shows your current session and weekly burn rate directly in the menu bar — colour-coded so you always know how close you are to your limits.
Key features
-
Live usage display
Session (5h window) and weekly (7d) usage shown as percentages in the menu bar, always visible.
-
Colour-coded at a glance
Green below 50%, orange from 50–80%, red above 80% — no need to open anything.
-
Usage alerts
Optional notifications when your usage crosses a configurable threshold.
-
Configurable refresh
Choose how often ClawdBar checks — every 30 seconds, 1 minute, or 5 minutes.
-
Launch at login
Start automatically with macOS so usage tracking is always running in the background.
-
Native Swift
100% Swift — no Electron, no bloat. Reads local Claude Code data; nothing is sent anywhere.
